Silver Linings Poem

Fear

Drives you Away
Keeps you Cautious
Leaves You Wondering
Makes You Doubt Yourself
But it also
Gives You Unknown Strength
 Drives Your Passions
 Makes You Prevail
And Most of All
Leaves you
Victorious

Bull Durham Review

Bull Durham is a classic movie that was filmed in the 80's and it is one of my favorite movies.  This movie is a classic baseball movie and it is full of love and passion and philosophy.  Kevin Costner is the main heavy hitter in this film and he plays the role of Crash Davis.  Crash is a minor league catcher who has had a few days in the show but has been bouncing around in A ball all his career.  Tim Robbins is playing Nuke who is a young wild child with a five cent head and a million dollar arm.  Susan is playing the role of Annie who is a woman that dates one ball player a year and helps him have the best year of his career.  This movie teaches the ins and outs of baseball and helps you understand a little about romance and how to handle yourself in a relationship.  The world of baseball is just like the world of love and you have to understand both to be successful.

Guess Who Review

Yesterday i watched the movie Guess Who for the first time. This movie is rather old but i guess thats where the phrase "old to me new to you " comes into place.  This movie has some heavy hitting actors in it with Zoe Saldana, Ashton Kutcher, and Bernie Mac.  The movie is about an interracial couple coming together and seeing the in laws.  The only problem is the in laws doesnt know that the black daughter has a white fiancee.  They plan to tell the family over the weekend but there's only one problem, the dad, Bernie Mac, is not accepting.  Ashton Kutcher is really trying to impress his future father in law but it seems as if nothing is really working and through some trials and tribulations they find themselves stuck together.  Over some Vodka and some football they come to an understanding and Bernie mac realizes that this is a good matchup for his daughter.  A nice ending comes together and it is a revelation. Great Flick for the whole family minus the children under 12.  Some Crude humor but it takes an adult to understand it.

10 Day Review

Chance The Rapper 10 Day Mixtape

10 Day was a mixtape by Chance the Rapper that he created while he was on a 10-Day suspension from his high school.  The album comes with a lot of okay songs but there was at least two singles that stood out from every other one, Juke-Juke and F you tahm bout.  Both of these songs are "turnup" songs but one is slow and another is relatively steady but faster than the other.  Juke Juke is my personal favorite because Chance uses a lot of play on words and speeds up and slows down his flow in a unique way.  The beat is originated from one of Biggie Smalls singles and it is transformed into Chance's beat.  It gives the song life and it allows the people listening to dance if they want to hint "Juke Juke"

ABC 123

Among the trials and tribulations of a teenager, a boy named Brian is emerged into a champion.
Brian is a pretty unique teenager but he went through a rough childhood which lead to his social awkwardness throughout high school.
Crooksville High is the high school Brian attends, the mascot is a champion
During Brian's attendance at Crooksville, one of the tasks he has to complete before graduation is an essay on what a champion is and where you can find one.
Everyone at the High School has to write the essay before they graduate.
For Brian, this was indeed a very hard task to complete
Going to school was the least of Brian's worries, he was more concerned with his lack of popularity
His mind was telling him to fit in while his real concern should have been getting this essay done
I believe in Brian's mind, he didn't feel like he was a champion
Just think in Brian's perspective, how can you write about how you became something you're not
Kingberry Fisher is the principal at Crooksville High
Lowkey though, Mr Fisher is Brian's Dad
Mr Fisher has never told Brian about who his real father is and his mother wants to keep it that way
Now that Brian is about to become an adult, Mr Fisher wants to tell Brian
Only problem is that Brian has been told his whole life that his father died in a car accident
Pretty much the main problem is no one knows how Brian is going to react
Quality over Quantity is what his Brian's mother told him growing up
Really she meant that it doesn't matter how many parents you have but that you have a good one
Since Brian has grown up without a father that has been one of the reasons that led to his social problems
The time has come for Brian to graduate and he is almost finished with his essay
Usually the essays go to the teachers and they get sent to administration to see how they progress from starting at Crooks and ending there.
Vashon, Brian's teacher is told to give Brian's essay to Mr Fisher directly for evaluation
When Mr Fisher finally gets the essay, he realizes that he doesn't need to tell Brian the truth
Xylophones play in the background
Years pass on and Brian has emerged into the champion he's always wanted to be
Zuma beach is close to his house, he has a great family, and most of all he is successful

Last Vegas Review

Last Vegas was a Revelation.  With the Big name Actors involved in one last bachelor party for the group and a time of forgiveness and trials, this movie was excellent.  I personally saw the movie twice and loved it better the second time.  It had comedy, drama, and a little bit of crude humor(which i love).  Morgan Freeman played the peace keeper while Robert and Michael were beefing.  All in All its VEGAS!!! And Everyone knows what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas! The guys go out and have some fun and even get a little creative along the way.  Its almost like an old Project X or something of that nature lol.  Everyone needs to go check this movie out i give it Four out of Five stars and this is indeed a classic.  Great Flick for the teens and Above!!!

NWTS Review

NWTS Review

NWTS stands for Nothing was the Same. A rather clever and ingenius way to describe Drakes life after he got picked up and became a great artist under the wing of Birdman and Lil Wayne.  The album itself is what i consider a classic.  You can start the album from song 1 to song 15 and not skip which in my opinion makes it great.  Every song has a great story and its worth listening to.  In Wu Tang Forever he paid his respects to the Wu Tang Clan.  He has great beats and his lyrics are decent like they always are.  One of my favorite verses is in drakes song Tuscan Leather.  He does a nice play on words where he says, "Aye B i got you CD you get an E for Effort my life's a completed checklist." The way Drake Rhymes and makes his presence known not by his actions but by his music makes me like him that much better.  This album wasn't as good as Take Care, but all in all its a great album and i listen to one of the songs on his album at least once a day

Wolf of Wall Street Review

Wolf of Wall Street Review

Recently I had the opportunity to view The Wolf of Wall Street and i can honestly say that this movie is indeed a great flick.  For some it may be a little bit vulgar and have some unnecessary crude humor but in fact, this movie actually had a great underline meaning.  The strive to get out of poverty at all costs.  Money is the greatest drug that everyone is in strive for.  The movie made me want to work on Wall Street, all of the perks and qwerks seemed appealing even the bad consequences that followed.  This movie taught me plenty of things though.  The first thing it taught me was that if you work hard, you can have fun.  Some may have a little bit too much fun or even more fun than others.  It taught me that the world was harsh and that no one is going to have sympathy for you when you are poor and not working hard.  It also made me cautious of how money can change people.  I really hope that i wont have the problems that were associated with Jordan once he came into money.  I encourage everyone to go out and see this movie to enjoy the benefits that it can give you and you can also potentially learn something.

Time Travel Expenses #1

Bob is a 19 year old boy genius.  He is currently in high school, at the top of his class, and  has excelled in school all throughout his life.  Bob scored a 36 on his ACT and is going to be successful in life.  One thing Bob lacks is people skills, so talking to people, women especially, is a huge struggle.  Bob understands that money talks and its the only drug people are in constant search for.  While Bob is a boy genius he is also dirt poor.  He comes from nothing and has had to work for everything he's gotten and will get.  His family is a group of sheep herders and makes only enough to eat and live in the shack they share with another family.  Bob uses the farm owners address to go to school and to study and work after school.  The farm owner is a crook he plans to use bob as a tool to become successful and get out of the farming business.  Its a long process and Bob just wants to get out of counting sheep to go to sleep.  Bob is a senior and is about 6 months away from his graduation.  While at school he meets Jerry, a spoiled rich boy who gets whatever he wants.  Jerry is also smart but he doesn't apply himself when it comes to his schooling.  Jerry and Bob have a few classes together and of course Bob excels in all of them but Jerry doesn't do his homework, so he is about C average in every one of them.  Jerry confronts Bob and tells him that he will pay him for doing all of his homework and keeping him ahead in all of his classes.  Bob agrees because he needs money for a big project he has been planning on working on, a time machine.  Bob has this plan to invent a time machine and win the lottery multiple times.  He would cover his self by making up some mathematical equation that would allow him to win every time.  He makes Jerry aware of his plans but at first Jerry is disinterested because he has all the money he needs and doesn't have to help anyone if he doesn't want to.  As far as Jerry is concerned, Bob is just another person who does his homework for a few hundred dollars, chump change for Jerry.  Months go by and Bob is almost finished drawing up his blueprint for his time machine when Jerry approaches him.

Up in the Clouds

She gasped with excitement and shouted over the noise of the propeller: "The islands in the clouds are real!!!" She then opened her arms as if she were a hawk gliding over its prey and looked at John in amazement.  John with his mouth open and eyes wide simply says, "I can't believe it."  The blimp they are riding in starts to make a rumbling noise.  It then makes a grinding noise and instantly they take a nose dive heading straight for the pacific ocean they are over.  John and Amy start to scream.  The entire blimp is moving at a rapid speed towards the surface they have only a few moments left of life.  The blimp crashes and John and Amy drown.  Amy wakes up in her bed panting and hyperventilating.  She realizes it was only a dream and calms down.  She then rolls over towards the other side of her bed looking at her phone and sees that today is her prom.  Amy is 18 and dateless, just like thousands of girls across the country and she feels the same pain everyone else does.  Amy is not dateless because she is strange or isn't popular.  Amy is a cancer survivor and is now 30 pounds skinnier and bald.  She is a cheerleader and one of the best in her school.  Amy used to date John a stud football player who had a great high school career and was going to have a nice college career as well.  John died in a car crash two weeks ago and now Amy is feeling things more than ever.  Amy felt as if she was in paradise floating and about to embark on something perfect but everything came tumbling down as if she was being punished for nothing at all.  Amy gets herself ready and her family is excited but Amy shows no sign of joy.  She is just living life in a nose dive, waiting to fall, and praying to be saved.

Handicapped Society

Handicapped Society

Do you dare to dream? Is the dream your reality?
The fear to dream is the handicap in society
But does the handicapped become free?
Free from the chains that society forces upon you?
Or does a handicap just give up?
